Hold Up, Men Wore Jewelry?

Egyptian men wore jewelry for decoration, for the same reason why women wore jewelry. Except, I thought men didn't wear all that jewelry, but they wear collars and necklaces of gold, glass, and precious stones. Not only did Egyptian men wear these valuable stones for their appearance, they wore it to keep them safe. Does this sound familiar?
